I know when you’re first starting out as a developer it can be frustrating to try and find free resources to use in your projects so I’ve shortlisted websites offering free photos, vectors, icons, illustrations and PSD.

  1. Undraw is a popular website that has a rich collection of free SVG images. There’s also a tool that allows you to change the colours of the SVG. There’s no need to create an account and all the images are 100% free.
  2. Freepik which is definitely a personal favourite is a search engine that helps you to find both photos, vectors, icons, illustrations and PSD. The site provides free and premium assets. You do need to attribute the owner which really isn’t asking for much.
  3. Ouch provides unique illustrations that come in many different styles. There are premium and free illustration which come in as many as 20 different styles.
  4. Unsplash is a website where you can find free high-quality stock photos and images.
  5. Pexels is definitely another personal favourite because it gives you access to high-quality stock images and photos but here you can also find videos to add to your projects.

While most of these sites provide free resources that are copyright free it's always good to double-check. Do give credit where it’s due and attribute the original owners.

Happy Coding
